The Plot

The main plot line:

Celaena is an agent of the Raven Queen seeking the answer to a mystery the Raven Queen is eager to solve. There is something rare and important about Celeana that makes her the perfect agent of the Raven Queen. Maeglin, who is indebted to the Raven Queen, has been sent to ensure Celeana’s mission is a success. Someone else seems to be also helping Celaena in this mission, someone who has only been revealed to Celaena and only under the most secretive circumstances.

What ever the Raven Queen is seeking, it has something to do with what the ‘Pataphysical Sorcerers were up to immediately before The Cataclysm. The locations of the ‘pataphysicians’ towers, their artifacts, and their Generals, hold the clues to answer the Raven Queen’s question.

The Raven Queen is not the only one seeking an answer. At least one other faction, a faction symbolized by The Duck, is pursuing the answer also, and they appear to be in the lead.
