Flash Fiction

In Scotland, Kelly told me that we had to write flash fiction (less than 1001 words) each day of the trip; this instead of keeping a journal.

I thought that was a far more inventive way to remember the trip than keeping a travel log, so I have it a try.

I managed to write a story for about half the days we were there, so didn’t quite achieve that goal. And, only three were worth keeping — even to salvage.

I want to remember the trip, so I’ve posted them here.

If I ever get around to it, I’ll try this experiment again. It doesn’t yield especially good fiction, but it does seem to make me a better writer.
